Admission Requirements for Teacher Education
In addition to general admission requirements for Campbell University, students seeking initial North Carolina Teacher Licensure must be admitted to the Teacher Education Program prior to their junior year. Admission requirements for Teacher Education include a 2.7 overall GPA, a grade of “C” or better on all content area and education courses and passing the Core Praxis Exam (or acceptable SAT/ACT scores). Please see your advisor in the Professional Education Department for all additional North Carolina Licensure Requirements.
Music Education
The requirements include the following music courses in addition to those required of all music majors:

Seven semesters of major applied study culminating with a half recital in the seventh semester are required. Students must also complete the Professional Education sequence in the School of Education.

- MUSC 223 - Advanced Conducting (2)
- half-recital the senior year
- minor applied instrument
