Minor Requirements

The minor in social work is designed to provide students from various disciplines the opportunity to develop a social welfare orientation to supplement the perspective of their chosen majors. The social work minor has four required courses (12 semester hours) from the social work curriculum.

• SOWK 201 - Introduction to Social Work (3)
• SOWK 341 - Social Welfare Systems and Services (3)
• Take SOWK 350  OR SOWK 351  
• Take an Upper Level SOWK (300, 400, or 500 level)
• Take 2 courses from the following selected departmental electives: SOWK 360 , SOWK 361 , SOWK 362 , SOWK 363 , SOWK 500 , EXER 275  OR CRIM 411
