Health Science, A.S. (CIP 51.0000)


The Associate of Science in Health Science (A.S.H.S.) offers a program of study to prepare students for careers in the health professions, such as health-care aids, health care technicians, radiology technicians, ultrasound technicians, respiratory therapists, dental hygienists, physician assistants, and more.

The health-science course of study is interdisciplinary and is designed to deliver a well-rounded generalist curriculum that prepares students for either employment or further study, such as a Bachelor of Health Sciences (BHS).

The Health Science program introduces students to a broad range of subjects, including:

  • Medical Terminology
  • Psychology and Communications
  • Ethics
  • Biology

Campbell University BHS Qualification: This program qualifies a student for acceptance into the Campbell Univeristy Bachelor of Health Science degree. It does not apply to any other Applied Science program at Campbell University. The student must have a C or better in the courses listed below and must have a 3.0 or better overall GPA to transfer to the Bachelor of Health Science program.
