Political Science, Public Administration/Public Policy Concentration, B.A. (CIP 44.0401)

The concentration in Public Administration/Public Policy is designed for those Political Science majors interested in pursuing graduate degrees in public administration and/or public policy, with the ultimate goal of working in either the public or non-profit sectors.

Degree Requirements


In addition to the requirements of the academic major, students must comply with the General Academic Regulations for Graduation  and Undergraduate Academic Policies .  As part of these policies, students must complete the General College Curriculum , which is based on the degree.

The Political Science major with a Public Administration/Public Policy concentration takes the majority of the required 37 semester hours of political science in public administration and policy-related courses. These include:

Open electives should include accounting, business administration, communication, economics, psychology, sociology or other appropriate courses.
