Degree Requirements


In addition to the requirements of the academic major, students must comply with the General Academic Regulations for Graduation  and Undergraduate Academic Policies .  As part of these policies, students must complete the General College Curriculum , which is based on the degree.

Exercise Science, Physical Education and the General College Curriculum


The Department of Exercise Science offers a diverse selection of elective physical activity courses, classes promoting a healthier life, as well as teaching-, science- and business-oriented major programs to prepare students for work in the sport, fitness, and wellness fields. Major programs include cognate courses in other departments and offers on-site work experiences as part of the program.

Teacher licensure students must meet the criteria for admission to the Teacher Education Program and successfully complete the professional education sequence. See your adviser.

Admission Requirements for Teacher Education


In addition to general admission requirements for Campbell University, students seeking initial North Carolina Teacher Licensure must be admitted to the Teacher Education Program prior to their junior year. Admission requirements for Teacher Education include a 2.7 overall GPA, a grade of “C” or better on all content area and education courses and passing the Core Praxis Exam (or acceptable SAT/ACT scores). If a teacher education candidate does not meet the North Carolina Licensure established score on the SAT/ACT for admittance into the teacher education program, they are automatically enrolled in EDUC 106  and/or EDUC 107  in order to prepare for the CORE PRAXIS (Math and/or Reading). Please see your advisor in the Professional Education Department for all additional North Carolina Licensure Requirements.
