Degree Requirements

In addition to the requirements of the academic major, students must comply with the General Academic Regulations for Graduation and Undergraduate Academic Policies . As part of these Policies, students must complete the General College Curriculum , which is based on the degree.

Major Requirements

Candidates for a Bachelor of Science major in Homeland Security, must complete the following nine required courses:

Terrorism Concentration or Intelligence Concentration

In order to complete the requirements for the B.S. major in Homeland Security, students must also complete either one of two concentrations:

Terrorism Concentration By Completing

Intelligence Concentration By Completing

Students Also Will Take

two HSEC courses of their choice
One of the Following:

HIST 111 - Western Civilization (3)
HIST 112 - Western Civilization (3)
HIST 221 - United States History (3)
HIST 222 - United States History (3)
POLS 229 - The National Government (3)
POLS 230 - State and Local Government (3)
MATH 160 - Elementary Statistics (3) and MATH 111 or higher
CRIM 231 - Introduction to Criminal Justice (3)
THEA 115 - Public Speaking (3)
HSEC 330 - Emergency Management (3)
POLS 332 - Emergency Preparedness and Response (3)
