This degree option allows Campbell University students that have completed the prescribed Pre-Nursing Curriculum or Pre-Pharmacy Curriculum, the General Science Curriculum, the General College Curriculum, plus additional elective credits totaling 124 semester hours to earn a Bachelor’s of Science in General Science degree.
Students within the B.S. General Science degree with the Pre-pharmacy concentration (BSGS.prepharmacy) will have a dedicated customizable general science degree program.This degree fulfills the prerequisites for Campbell’s Doctor of Pharmacy program and includes the general science courses that are common foundational prerequisites for most graduate and professional health science programs with the flexibility with free electives to design a minor. The first two years also serves as the prerequisite coursework towards a B.S. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Clinical Research.
During the first two years, the Director of Pre-Professional Advisement & Retention works full-time to assist students by providing appropriate advice and guidance each semester in planning their class schedules and facilitating professional development activities. CPHS faculty members serve as mentors and are also available to provide students with advice on career pathways and residency information.
