The objectives of this curriculum are to facilitate potential nursing student success; the learner may discover that nursing is not a good fit for their personal or academic aspirations. Campbell University has a variety of exceptional programs to consider as alternatives to nursing. There are options in the health sciences, as well as in the fields of education, law, divinity, fine arts, business, and more. Please explore our website for more information.

The following curriculum is a guideline for courses required in the program. Students are free to work with their assigned advisor to create the most effective course schedule to complete the prerequisites. Students must receive a “C” or higher in each class in order to use credit hours as prerequisites for the Nursing program.

Track Requirements:

Upper Division Transfer Credit

The Registrar’s Office is responsible for the transferring of credits from other institutions to the Campbell University transcript.

A transfer student must meet the core requirements and apply to the upper division, through an electronic College Application website.

The cumulative GPA from transferred coursework is considered as part of the holistic competitive application to the B.S.N. Degree Program. The admissions process includes meeting specific prerequisite coursework with a minimum grade of “C” in each class

For transfer credit of B.S.N. level courses, the official transcript and copy of the course syllabus must be submitted to the Catherine W. Wood School of Nursing for determination of course equivalency by a faculty with expertise or the B.S.N. Curriculum Committee. A grade of “C” or better must have been earned in the B.S.N. course work and been completed within the previous three years.

Transfer credit is not granted automatically and is restricted to didactic courses with no clinical component. A letter from the Dean indicating that the student left in good academic and professional standing is required.
