Degree Requirements

In addition to the requirements of the academic major, students must comply with the General Academic Regulations for Graduation and Undergraduate Academic Policies . As part of these Policies, students must complete the General College Curriculum , which is based on the degree.

Major Requirements

Students who wish to acquire a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Criminal Justice Administration must, in addition to the General College Curriculum , complete the following courses with a “C” average or better in the major:

CRIM 430 - Correctional Philosophies and Issues (3)
CRIM 441 - Criminal Justice Policy (3)
CRIM 454 - Internship (3)
CRIM 482 - Seminar in Criminal Procedure (4)
6 hours of Criminal Justice electives from any CRIM courses not listed above

Criminal Justice majors are strongly encouraged to use their elective hours to select a minor or other concentration that is complementary to the field in which they wish to work. Students should select electives.
