NURS 475 - Managing Healthcare for Vulnerable Populations (2)
The focus of this course is twofold. 1) Students will demonstrate assimilation of knowledge obtained in their first two years of foundational academic studies with their BSN degree program. The learner will document a perspective on the human experience in health and illness utilizing humanities literature and reflection. 2) The student will synthesize, integrate, and apply program learning into a project designed to improve patient outcomes. This knowledge includes but is not limited to: development of leadership skills, health policy process, inter professional collaboration, quality improvement, safe effective care, diverse population care and evidence based practice. A poster with podium presentation is required. Spring Prerequisite(s): The following Nursing curriculum: NURS 300 NURS 310 NURS 320 NURS 330 NURS 340 NURS 350 NURS 360 NURS 370 NURS 400 NURS 410 NURS 420 and NURS 430
